Eric Carpenter, M.Ed., Ed.Spec.

Eric Carpenter Eric is the Project Manager for The Orfalea Fund’s s’COOL FOOD Initiative. He has an extensive background in K-12 education and education leadership, as well as experience in sustainability and environmental education initiatives.

As a leader in the experiential education movement, Eric helped create and manage Idaho’s first residential outdoor science school, which includes a sustainable foods initiative, played a key role in the establishment of a state-wide education outreach program in partnership with Idaho AmeriCorps, and helped design and implement a Graduate Certificate Program for Environmental Educators at the University of Idaho. Along with his leadership skills, Eric has extensive teaching and curriculum development experience spread across the country including work with public schools, museums, nature centers, and locally with the Santa Barbara Zoo.
